Course 4: The New California Garden-Sonoma

150.00

The course will present basic yet comprehensive information on the many interacting systems necessary to create successful gardens such as site analysis, garden design, developing and maintaining healthy soil, understanding plants and their needs, quality plants and proper planting, weed control, pest and disease prevention and efficient irrigation design.

Once we've discussed the fundamentals, we will critically look at common problem situations and how to fix them.  The last part of the class will go over a variety of plant based, practical design styles that can serve as examples to students on how to get started putting together a concept for their own garden.

The class will focus on organic, ecologically sound practices appropriate to our dry summer climate.

We are excited to off this course with wonderful Cornerstone Sonoma in their beautiful garden setting. This course comes with a delicious boxed lunch and refreshments from Park 121 Cafe & Grille, and a glass of wine to finish the day from Meadowcroft Wines.
